Public engagement and health equity

Public engagement is a core principle at this research centre.

That means we want to work with different communities, to design and communicate research on climate and health. That might be a community of experts (e.g transport officers) or experts by experience (e.g people impacted by flooding). Whoever it is, the idea is that there should be a mutual exchange of ideas and insight and that those communities have a say on how we design and run research.

We will be doing lots of public engagement, but we also want to study it. We want to understand what works well, what doesn’t, and what impact public engagement has. We are especially interested in exploring if and how it impacts health equity and/ or climate justice.
