Helen is a Scientific Co-ordinator of the UKHSA Field Epidemiology Training Programme (FETP). She is a Senior Environmental Epidemiologist and previously a group leader for the Environmental Epidemiology Service. Helen gained her PhD in environmental epidemiology at the Open University and Masters in Public Health at LSHTM. She has experience of conducting research projects on the epidemiological analysis of environmental exposures and effects on health including water contaminants, air pollution, land contamination, climate change and natural hazards. She has also developed and evaluated surveillance for environmental public health, and taken part in many international capacity building projects. Helen’s interest in developing the Net+ Centre is by supporting the development of applied epidemiological skills for staff and students.
