Elana is a Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and Blue-Green Infrastructure (BGI) specialist, with an MSc in Ecological Economics. She also holds professional IUCN certification on the Global Standard for NbS. Elana plays a central role in the strategic promotion of NbS and BGI in Scotland. Outside of NatureScot, Elana is a member of Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue and runs Darroch Nurseries, a social enterprise specialising in growing local provenance, native Scottish trees.
