Building Capacity

The Net Positive Centre is designed to build capacity around climate change and health research. We will have a range of opportunities for Early Career Researchers – including post doctoral researchers and PhD students – to develop skills in interdisciplinary research on climate change and health. This will include:

Summer schools in interdisciplinary research methods

You will have the opportunity to meet other ECRs working on climate change and health issues, and be trained by experts in the field on a range of research methods and other skills.

Dedicated sessions for ECR development at conferences

We will be holding conferences around climate change and health and will have special sessions dedicated to developing Early Career Researchers.

Possibilities to bid for funds to support engagement with the Net Positive Centre activities

We will have a dedicated fund to help support travel costs or other costs, such as caring costs, to enable ECRs to take part in Net Positive Centre activities like summer schools or conferences.

Funded PhD opportunities

We have six funded PhD opportunities – and hope to be able to attract further funding to support more.
